Jenny Lehmann, Physiotherapist at Nelson Physiotherapy

Jenny Lehmann, MPT, BScKin

Jenny’s diverse athletic background has been a vital stepping stone in her growth as a Physiotherapist. While pursuing her Bachelor of Kinesiology at SFU, Jenny was involved in varsity soccer and cross-country running. She then put school on hold while pursuing competitive road cycling, alongside working as a Kinesiologist.

After competing in various road races across North America and Europe, she returned to school to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy at UBC. She has since completed post-graduate education and gained clinical experience in orthopedic manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, advanced treatment of the cervical spine and shoulder, advanced vestibular rehabilitation, Stott clinical pilates, neuro-rehabilitation, bike fitting, and is a level II Shift Concussion management practitioner.

In her practice, Jenny emphasizes the importance of correcting bio-mechanical faults and postural dysfunction, to optimize functional movement patterns, and thus, performance in life and in sport. She is passionate about injury prevention through sport-specific conditioning and particularly enjoys working with endurance athletes.

So, whether it be making it to the top of the podium, or working through pain that limits your everyday activities, Jenny will work with you to achieve your goals. If she’s not in the clinic, you’re likely to find her on the trails running, cross-country skiing, ski touring, mountain bike racing, and practicing aerial silks.

Josh believes in the power of collaboration and actively involves his patients in their treatment plans, empowering them to take an active role in their own healing process.

In addition to his clinical work, Josh enjoys sharing his expertise and educating others. He frequently mentors students from UBC as a clinical educator and is an advocate for the role physiotherapy plays in all facets of healthcare. By actively engaging with the community, Josh aims to empower individuals to prioritize their well-being and take proactive steps towards their recovery.
